Adverse Childhood trauma

Image
Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are traumatic events that occur during childhood and have far-reaching negative consequences that can impact various aspects of an individual's life. These experiences can include physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, neglect, witnessing domestic violence, parental substance abuse, mental illness, or incarceration. In this weeks blog I’m exploring  the effects of ACEs on everyday life, relationships, mental health, wellbeing, addictions, habits, and lifestyle. Furthermore, it will explore measurement strategies for ACEs and discuss potential interventions to overcome their adverse effects. Childhood trauma has a far reaching impact into adulthood, affecting choices, decisions and behaviours. Often rooted in the deep seated past of our environment and upbringing as a minor. Bach Flower Remedies and how they can support your healing journey.

Bach flower remedies are a type of vibrational therapy that uses flower extracts to promote emotional wellbeing and restore balance to the body. In this blog post, I aim to lift the mystery and look will at the history of Bach flower remedies, how they work, what's involved in a session, how they help, and what to expect. Understanding and Living with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), is a debilitating long-term neurological condition that affects the nervous and immune systems. In this weeks blog I aim to provide an in-depth understanding of ME/CFS by exploring its impact on everyday life, its symptoms, causes, recognition challenges, exacerbating factors, available management strategies, and limitations it imposes on individuals' lives. Living with ME/CFS significantly affects individuals' everyday life, leading to physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. The following aspects illustrate its impact: Fatigue and Energy Depletion: Overwhelming fatigue and exhaustion often persist, even after minimal physical or mental exertion. Simple daily tasks can become exhausting, leading to a significant reduction in energy levels and a need for frequent rest periods. This isn’t like your normal ti
