Pride Month: Standing Together, Speaking Out, Supporting Always.

Pride Month is more than just rainbow flags and parades. It’s a time to  honour the LGBTQIA+ community,  its history, resilience, diversity, and the ongoing fight for equality, representation, and human dignity. Pride is about  visibility  for those who have been made to feel invisible. It's about giving voice to those who’ve had to whisper or hide their truth. It's about remembering that  love is love , identity is personal, and  everyone deserves to live without fear . But behind the colour and celebration, there are still deep challenges: Mental health struggles  are disproportionately high in LGBTQIA+ communities. Rejection by families, bullying in schools, exclusion in faith communities, and being "othered" in society can lead to anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicidality. In schools and colleges, many young LGBTQIA+ people still face  bullying, misgendering, and silencing , which chips away at self-worth. Families can be a place of heal...
