Bach Flower Remedies and how they can support your healing journey.

Bach flower remedies are a type of vibrational therapy that uses flower extracts to promote emotional wellbeing and restore balance to the body. In this blog post, I aim to lift the mystery and look will at the history of Bach flower remedies, how they work, what's involved in a session, how they help, and what to expect.

The Bach flower remedies were developed by Dr. Edward Bach, a British physician, in the 1920s and 1930s. Bach believed that negative emotional states were the root cause of many physical ailments, and he developed a system of flower remedies to address these emotional imbalances.

Bach's system consists of 38 different flower remedies, each of which is associated with a specific emotional state. These flower remedies are made by infusing flowers in water, which is then diluted and preserved with brandy. The remedies are believed to contain the vibrational energy of the flowers, which can help to restore emotional balance.

The Bach flower remedies work on the principle that emotional imbalances can manifest as physical symptoms or conditions. The remedies are believed to help correct these imbalances by addressing the underlying emotional state.

Each of the 38 Bach flower remedies is associated with a specific emotional state, such as fear, anxiety, or sadness. During a session, the practitioner will interview the individual to identify their emotional state and recommend a combination of flower remedies tailored to their needs.

The theory behind their vibrational healing is that behind every physical state or illness is an emotion, by working in the emotion, one can begin to rebalance the body itself. It will not and does not cure physical ailments, but gently aligns and allows the emotions to be released.

The remedies can be taken orally, usually in water or directly in the mouth. They can also be used topically by applying the diluted remedies to the skin or adding them to a bath.

A typical Bach flower remedy session involves an assessment with the practitioner to discuss the clients emotional state, health history, and current concerns. The practitioner will then recommend a personalised combination of remedies tailored to the individual's needs.

The remedies can be taken daily, usually in water or directly in the mouth. The practitioner may also recommend topically applying the remedies or adding them to a bath. They are safe with children, adults and animals and can be used in specific areas of the body as well orally to bring about the height of vibrational energy.

The duration of a Bach flower remedy session can vary depending on the individual's needs and the severity of their emotional imbalances, but usually an hour.
